Porte Des Morts, or Door Of Death, the narrow and treacherous passage of Lake Michigan between the tip of Door County, Wisconsin and the Potawatomi Islands, has more shipwrecks than any other fresh water passage in the world. Or so Great Lakes legend insists. It's unknown where the artist who painted this distressed tall ship would have placed it, but we feel poetic license allows us to name it: Death's Door. We're sure the Captain would approve.
